Infrastructure

Dance, Yoga, Karate, Silambam
Dance
Dance helps to stay flexible, tones and strengthens muscles and improves endurance and fitness. It also instils grace, and helps boost memory.


























Yoga
Yoga is the pride of India and is very popular worldwide. In modern language, yoga can be said as an exercise but it’s nevertheless more than an exercise. It is a set of physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines which calms down the complete body and mind.
Yoga is important for children’s growth and development, so GMIS gives much importance to yoga by incorporating it in our school as an extra-curricular activity.
Karate
Karate helps kids in improving their concentration in studies and also encourages them in sport activities. Karate is not only for fighting it is also for increasing self control both on our body and mind and helps in gaining confidence to do anything in life and increases tolerance to pain mentally and physically. There is no age limit to learn any martial art, it just needs interest and spirit.
Karate will give confidence to succeed in life. Karate helps to keep the health fit and mind fit. Controls your body and mind. You will learn karate with martial art philosophies. And you will not learn from colour belts and first dan black belts in our school. You will learn directly from The GMIS School. Your will learn all the tectonics he learned from all different arts.






Silambam
At Gandhi Mission International School, we are proud to offer Silambam, an ancient Indian martial art that has been practiced for centuries in Tamil Nadu. This dynamic and graceful martial art is not only a form of self-defense but also a cultural heritage that promotes physical fitness, mental clarity, and spiritual growth.
Digital Library
Even in the digital age, there is no substitute for books. They are the source of knowledge and are the most important aspect of our education. The library is the structure or room in which many books are kept to read.

Laboratory
Fueling scientific curiosity, the Gandhi Mission School boasts a well-equipped science laboratory. This dedicated space allows students for hands-on exploration through microscopes, chemicals, and various scientific instruments (availability may vary). The lab fosters a safe learning environment, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills through experimentation.
Composite Lab
The Science Lab at GMIS provides an atmosphere of experiencing and learning science. It's a modern Science lab, which can accommodate more than forty students.
The Science lab also provides an open environment for students to experiment and do research work. Under the professional guidance and assistance given by our science teachers,students are also encouraged to exhibit their innovative powers by developing samples and models.
The equipment for Physics allows students to perform experiments and study various principles and laws. The facilities and wide range of chemicals and apparatus allow the students a hands-on experience in learning Chemistry.
Maths Lab
The main objective of the maths lab is to provide hands-on learning opportunities for the students. It will motivate students to master maths skills and problem solving techniques. It will improve the students’ ability to learn mathematics.
Some of the ways in which a mathematics laboratory can contribute to the learning of the subject are:

It provides an opportunity to understand and internalize the basic mathematical concepts through concrete objects and situations.

It enables the students to verify or discover several geometrical properties and facts using models or by paper cutting and folding technique.

It helps the students to build interest and confidence in learning the subject.

The laboratory provides an opportunity to exhibit the relatedness of mathematical concepts with everyday life.

It provides greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning and becoming autonomous learners.

It provides scope for greater involvement of both the mind and the hand which facilitate cognition.

The laboratory allows and encourages students to think, discuss with each other and the teacher and assimilates the concepts in a more effective manner.

It enables the teacher to demonstrate, explain and reinforce abstract mathematical ideas by using concrete objects, models, charts, graphs, pictures, posters etc.


Transportation
For students who need a safe and reliable commute, Gandhi Mission School offers optional transportation services. Our well-maintained vehicles, driven by experienced and courteous drivers, ensure a comfortable journey to and from school. Designated routes and timely drop-offs and pick-ups provide peace of mind for both students and parents.
Students can avail the school transport subject to the availability of seats. The bus fee must be fully paid , failing which the transport incharge will be authorized to cancel the student’s name from the bus list.
- Students who avail the school transport facility should report at the pick-up point five minutes before the stipulated time.
- One month’s advance notice is to be given for discontinuation of school One month’s transport charges for the said and the next month will be charged.
- Charges for school transport will be levied for eleven months a year.
- Students will be held responsible for any damage to buses caused by negligence or vandalism.
- The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason by the students.
- The bus service provided by the school is a facility for the students who commute from the far away places. We try to provide a good service and adhere to the timings to the best of our ability. The buses will follow the routes and stops as indicated and no change will be entertained.
- No student should come near the door of the bus unless it comes to a complete halt.
- When the bus is in motion, students must not move around and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
- Unruly behaviour like, shrieking and shouting is strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected at all times.
- Be respectful to other riders, the bus driver, people who are not on the bus, property and yourself.
- Only Registered riders shall ride the bus. DO NOT invite friends to ride with you.
- Be at your assigned stops five minutes before the bus is scheduled to depart.
- Stay off the road and do not throw things in the bus stop area.
- Wait until the bus comes to a complete stop and the door is open before stepping forward to board.
- Form a single line as you walk onto the bus.
- Respect personal space between yourself and the student ahead of you.
- Go to your seat and sit down. Students may be assigned to a specific seat
- Small items may be carried onto the bus (including a musical instrument) if they will fit under the seat or in your lap. If the driver thinks an item will block the aisle, floor space, or seat it will not be allowed.
- Do not bring items that could cause harm. Examples include explosive items, glass, hockey sticks, laser pointers, lighters, matches, skateboards, skates without safety bags, strong-smelling sprays or liquids, and weapons (real or fake). The driver has the authority to secure objects of concern.
- Follow the bus driver’s instructions.
- Sit facing forward with your back against the seat. Keep your legs, feet, and personal belongings out of the aisle. Do not sit sideways or turn around in your seat.
- Put your backpack or bookbag on your lap or on the floor under your seat.
- Keep your belongings inside your backpack or book bag.
- Use the garbage can, not the floor.
- Do not put anything outside the window. This includes your hands and head. Use a quiet voice when talking to other riders. Do not eat or drink on the bus.
- Cross at a marked street crossing or intersection where possible.
- If there is no marked street crossing, walk 3 meters in front of the bus and wait for the bus driver to instruct you to cross.
